Solution

OVP Management Consulting Group, Inc. designed a program that focused on a Systems Change approach to adult development. Our client was seeking a program that supported existing training modules within Illinois Action for Children, but also highlighted the importance of developing trusting relationships within the communities that they served.  OVP created six module trainings that incorporated virtual workshops and a leadership assessment. The program also paired newer community mentors with more experienced practitioners to ensure the real-time fostering of the mentor-mentee relationships.

Conclusion

We developed leadership profiles, crafted individual development plans (IDP) and provided measurement tools to allow participants to see their relative progress throughout the program. Following the project, the participants judged the program to be very successful in providing accessible and actionable information about Change Management, the effective deployment of equitable leadership skills as mentors and offering a roadmap to self-improvement using the IDP as a launch pad.
