National Coalition of 100 Black Women - Delaware Chapter

OVP was contracted by NC100BW - Delaware Chapter to produce a 5-part documentary series on the epidemic of opioid addiction in the African American community across Delaware, as part of a health initiative the organization was leading.

Our team at OVP spent several months in 2024 and 2025 interviewing community members and filming resident testimony about the impact opioids continue to have in people and institutions. The work took us across the state and surfaced a number of solutions on how communities can help it’s members, particularly younger people, from succumbing to addiction.

As writers and co-producers of the project, OVP helped NC100BW- Delaware Chapter spark a community conversation and tell an important story across the state.
